LIFE THROUGH POETRY

 IT'S A FUNNY OLD LIFE!

It's a funny old life, but you won't catch me laughing.
It's a funny old life, or so they rave.
It's a funny old life, not for the feint hearted.
It's a funny old life, from conception to grave.

To stand any chance of completing the course,
Or making it through unscathed.
One has to adapt and run with the flow,
And hope beyond hope to be saved.

It's a funny old life, but I'm not complaining.
It's a funny old life, to be sure.
It's a funny old life, with pitfalls  and obstacles.
It's a funny old life, with the meaning obscure.

So you must lead by example,
Or just do your best.
To finish the course,
Now, there lies the test.

It's a funny old life, I'm sure I've recounted.
It's a funny old life, or so I've been told.
It's a funny old life, from cradle to gravestone.
It's a funny old life, for both the young and the old.
