HOW TO WRITE A HAIKU

 WHAT IS A HAIKU?

A Haiku is a form of poetry that consists of just three lines with a total of seventeen syllables. The first line has five syllables, the second line has seven syllables, and the third line reverts back to five syllables. Below is my attempt at a Haiku which also acts as a description of the art form. Once you have read mine, have a go yourself and feel free to post them in the comments box. Have fun. ANNIVERSARY POEMS

 WHAT IS AN ANNIVERSARY?

What is an anniversary?
But a day to remember.
A day to embrace,
All that is good about a relationship.

What is an anniversary?
But a time to relax,
To rest in the knowledge,
That all is well with the world.

What is an anniversary?
But a time to share,
To share in the love,
The love between two people.

What is an anniversary?
But a date,
A date with history,
Recorded in time, forever.

What is an anniversary?
It is anything,
That you want it to be,
And more!
